After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1993 with honors in Civil Engineering, Greg took a job with Aurecon (then Connell Wagner) as a consulting structural engineer.  During this time he undertook a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Queensland, which he completed in 1997 before working for Price and Myers (London) as a structural engineer.  In London, Greg developed his skills working in multi disciplinary design groups led by architects and upon his return to Australia was invited to join Arup, where he spent a decade working in and leading structural and multi-disciplinary engineering teams both in Australia and abroad.  This time included leading teams on a number of high profile projects.  Many of these share the common threads of expressed structure and sensitive architectural planning.

Greg’s skills in building design have led to some significant work in research and development, a keen involvement in public speaking and a substantial amount of lecturing at tertiary level.  Greg has been involved in a teaching capacity at the University of Queensland (Architecture and Engineering) where he currently lecturers in Civil Design.  In this role Greg holds a keen interest in the future of engineering education and is actively involved in this on several fronts.

Greg is a keen advocate of design competitions and the ability of multi disciplinary thought and collaboration being able to bring out the best outcomes.
